Poster fallen on ground

intro

The Dawson College Graphic Design Vernissage is an event held every year for the graduating students of the program. This showcases a selection of work created by each student during the three years of the program. A poster promoting the exhibition is created to encapsulate our experience during the program to summarize everything we’ve learnt.

process + experience

The theme of my poster refers to not only the digital link, but also visualizes the fact that we as a program are all connected, and so is everything around us. It brings together the concepts of “Graphic” and “Design” because they are two separate things, but we link them together to create and communicate visually. Despite us starting this program online and during the pandemic, we were still able to form meaningful connections with each other, and all come together to do what we love – graphic design. The movement of the two 3D rings represents how we are moving forward with our lives and bringing everything we’ve learnt with us onto the next chapter.

outcome

The poster is a strong representation of who we are as a group and how far we’ve come, showing that we have formed special connections together.
